JESUS CHRIST AS AN EXAMPLE.

THE GREATEST EXAMPLE IN HUMAN HISTORY OF ALL TIME.

Who is Christ Jesus? He is the son of God the father, and through our relationship with him we also are to be called sons and daughters in the kingdom of God. In psalms and Jeremiah there are verses which show that God knew us before we were born, okay to show us this through the son, God the father sent the holy spirit to impregnant Mary the mother of Jesus Christ so that he could be a man. Though we do not live in heaven before we come on earth but it’s quite a similar scenario. When he was born, God the father knew of his existence and it was for him to decide if he was going to live on his own or make sure he created a relationship with the father in heaven. This was the greatest strategy he had to do because we all come on earth not by accident but for a purpose. Without a relationship with God, you will never know what you were called to do. Many of us despise where we come from, to be specific families we were born into. But just take a minute and realize that is the first puzzle you should solve before stepping outside in the world to make it a better place. Thus, the saying, charity begins at home. Many have turned their pain into purpose to help others facing the same situations encouraging others that they can survive it too. After the fall, God knew we needed each other to survive not in the bad away but in the good way. I won’t specify the years or ages but we shall base our study on him via the events that happened in his life. The main purpose is to show us that if he lived well by loving others the way he loved himself leaning of his relationship with God the father, we can do it. Many will say, he was God, I will agree but disagree at the same time by saying that if he lived as a man and depended on his relationship with God the father through the holy spirit, we can do it the same way. Jesus would have freed himself from all pain and attacks but he decided to face everything as a human being.

Starting out as a young man, he had to honor his father and mother since he was in their care by helping them in the daily duties and also, we see this when he was left behind at the temple un intentionally. This scenario at the temple showed him doing what he was ordained to do not in its right timing but he later goes back with his parents when they eventually find him. From this time forward Jesus knew, he had to grow in so many different ways. Luke 2:40-53.

Luke 2:40-52

New International Version

40 And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.

The Boy Jesus at the Temple

41 Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. 43 After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.”

49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”[a] 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them.

51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

Just as Moses wanted to rescue the Israelites from bondage his own way and out of God’s timing things back fired. The scriptures in Ecclesiastes say, read below;

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

New International Version

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
    and a season for every activity under the heavens:

    a time to be born and a time to die,
    a time to plant and a time to uproot,
    a time to kill and a time to heal,
    a time to tear down and a time to build,
    a time to weep and a time to laugh,
    a time to mourn and a time to dance,
    a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
    a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
    a time to search and a time to give up,
    a time to keep and a time to throw away,
    a time to tear and a time to mend,
    a time to be silent and a time to speak,
    a time to love and a time to hate,
    a time for war and a time for peace.

Let’s talk about the times he didn’t let himself be influenced by the world but stuck to the way of the father. I will call it the straight road. Many of us deny ourselves a relationship with God because he really doesn’t want us to be directed by the flesh but rather by the spirit. Many people prefer to please the flesh rather to live in the spirit and make this world a better place for both themselves and other people. Back to our main man Jesus Christ. Though many never understood him when he rejected the way they saw themselves rather the way the creator sees them. They say God knows what will break us and what will make us. He is sovereign. He continues to show us his ways are better than our ways. The wise route is trusting him. God almighty hates compromise and many of us think that we need to have everything that we desire or make sure we fit in. but that not important. The most important thing is you fitting in with God.

We shall also visit him being taken to the wilderness by the holy spirit to be tempted. This was a way to show us that Jesus had strengthened his relationship with the father and he was not about to practice lawlessness to survive in this world. Jesus Christ speaking like that to the devil in the wilderness showed, he was whole heartedly committed to receiving from the father. He was not afraid of losing to the world but he knew lawlessness will make him lose whatever God the father had ordained him to receive especially the relationship with him. Many of us we are taken into this situation and we 100% compromise because we do not trust the creator of the universe. Eve and Adam exchanged the presence of God with everything we are experiencing today. How many of us can exchange the life of Adam before the fall and life after the fall. Just know the devil doesn’t let you fall out of the presence but continue to torture you out of the presence. The scriptures say, the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy. After him stealing you from the presence of God, he will start destroying you.by this I mean expose you to things of the flesh like lust of anything which will bring in demons to start tormenting you. That why many people are depressed, have panic attacks. Jesus Christ in the wilderness never gave him a chance. He slapped him back with the scriptures not leaving him room to even hang around. God the father never gave upon us and we offered survival for everyone who was born by having a relationship with him.

Jesus Christ honoring the commandment of loving his neighbor like loving himself, he knew he had to live for others. By this I mean not living selfishly but putting everyone’s existence in his perspective. Many spiritual leaders have said that God will only bless people who are willing to be a blessing to others. Jesus Christ would have come to be rich, make a lot of money and spend it partying, rather he dedicated his life teaching about the kingdom of God, healing the sick, praying for people to see the truth among others. But this shows us that you might have been born in trauma or by those parents you hate most but there was a purpose. Many people have broken cycles of their family lineage and now helping many to break theirs. Not leaving out the people in business setting, they are to help the poor, the sick, help fund the ministries of God and many others. Jesus came to redeem this whole world as the purpose he was assigned and he found fulfillment. Many of us just do not know that what keeps us in the want mode, chasing this and that. its emptiness. Being empty can keep you thirsty and hungry for earthly things, until you find the missing bit which is the holy spirit who lives in us and helps us to order our steps, wash us in the word of God and direct our steps in the right path. There is a phrase that I have come to believe that says there is no joy out of God’s will. Having a relationship with God will help you find out the will he has for your life and also give you the holy spirit to help you accomplish it. Jesus Christ never looked for fame, competed with anyone for success and never walked in pride but he found success in the work he was signed to do. Many of us are afraid of standing out after making the decision to have a relationship with God. This standing out will bring loneliness but God later brings people to feel that space. Just as God the father had his disciples to be among his circle, God has a circle for you too.

How Jesus Christ thrived in living by the fruits of the holy spirit. Just as Jesus Christ said to the rich young man, with man it’s impossible but with God its possible. I will share the scripture with the fruits of the holy spirit and we real see that Jesus Christ thrived in them. Read below;

Galatians 5:22-23

New International Version

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

We will further see how Jesus Christ lived in the armor of God. Read below;

Ephesians 6:10-18

New International Version

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Who knew better than Jesus Christ our savior that humans will thrive most in the fruits of the holy spirit by operating in the spiritual Ram. When you analyze the armor of God scripture you realize that Jesus operated 100% like this.

Other scriptures that show us that with the holy spirit we can thrive in honoring the commandment of loving your neighbor as you love yourself. During his last days, he felt the agony of life, he felt like giving up and he also felt on the cross as though his father had forsaken him at the hands of other people but he remembered he had not let him go through this alone. Many of us feel forsaken, when things are not going the way, we expect because sometimes we forget that we are not supposed to operate on our own but rather depend on God to order our steps.

Luke 23:34

New International Version

34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”[a] And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Jesus Christ declaring this, meant that people who are hurting us do not know that they are being used by the evil one and they are blinded that God will use everything they have put against you for your good. To perfect your love for God and others thus Agape love.
