Many of us come into Christianity thinking it will be a walk in the park. By this I mean
when we are Christians we come into this love with our savior, enjoy it, until we the holy
spirit requires us to grow. This was a turning point for me. I found it so hard when God
the Holy Spirit was asking me to sow love, compassion, kindness, warmth among
others towards other people. I had a history of getting tired of people and not loving
being to personal with people because of various traumas that I had gone through. To be
honest, when I came to that red sea, I thought long that I wish I had been told that this
was a head; I would not have entered into this covenant. I found peace as I thought when
I closed out everyone. Those walls were too high. Just like proverbs 18:19 (A brother
wronged is more unyielding than a fortified city; disputes are like the barred gates of a
citadel.). But there is a love, a joy and a peace that we reap when we sow love, helping
others, not gossip or lie about others. The way we see others is very important to God.
Mathew 5:43-48. (Love for Enemies 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your
neighbor [a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those
who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his
sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the
unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the
tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing
more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly
Father is perfect). This might not be easy but in psalms 126:5-6 there is an assurance
that; 5 Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. 6 Those who go out
weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with
them. And God himself assures us of this in Galatians 6:7-9 (do not be deceived: God
cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from
the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap
eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a
harvest if we do not give up. ). James 3:13-18(Two Kinds of Wisdom 13 who is wise and
understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the
humility that comes from wisdom. 14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in
your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15 Such “wisdom” does not come
down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. 16 For where you have envy
and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. 17 But the wisdom
that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive,
full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap
a harvest of righteousness.), 2corinthian 9:6-11.( Generosity Encouraged 6 Remember this:
Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also
reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to
give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is
able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you
need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:“They have freely scattered
their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.” [a]10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and
bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the
harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every
way so that you can be
generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.)
