OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

Many human beings over look the origin of our existence trying to evade or escape the notion that God exists. In the beginning God created man and his initial desire was for him to live in the presence of God and this meant a relationship with God who is his creator. Many have been deceived by either themselves or others due to a number of reasons especially if, they do not want something or someone to detect their moves because the truth is though God gave us free will, he still has dominion over his creation and many have found out the hard way that there is no joy outside the will of God. Basing on leaning on this introduction we shall say relationships begun with God almighty, stop for a minute and let the Holy Spirit help you understand how God the father relates with God the son Jesus Christ and God the Holy Spirit. They run the heavens and the earth successfully because they are in perfect relations with each other. Ask yourself how they managed for all this years without them falling out.

Let’s look through the Ten Commandments, the first four help us to safeguard our relationship with him and the other six help us safe guard our relationship with others. We have to first look at the status we have with God because without him other relationships will crumble. You can assess the Christians, they will truthfully tell you that before God my relationships or life was a mess and now during my relationship with him, though hard times come with people or life in general I surely know the solution will come. Having the fear of God in you is very rewarding, that’s why Mathew 6:33 says “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Most cases when life is falling apart for some people not all because some people they are just going through tests before God can promote them but also this tests the strength of your relationship with God. Do you want him for the things he can give you or for who he is? Let’s get back to the few people I was referring too , those whose life is falling apart , I will say assess your relationship with God and if there are some gaps or deviations or back sliding make it up to him by repenting not only with words but actions.

Furthermore the son of God Jesus Christ came to live in the earth with us and also cemented this by teaching the people at the time the Lord’s Prayer.

Matthew 6:9-13 New International Version

9 “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation,[a] but deliver us from the evil one.[b]’

Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Let’s stop here for a minute and say its relationship with him first and then the rest follows. We all have come across the phrase the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Fearing God means walking in his will with obedience and if this is in line count on him for anything. I will give you a sample of what God’s wisdom can lead to or what is all about. Let’s start with proverbs.

Proverbs 1:7 New International Version

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools[a] despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 16:16 New International Version

16 How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!

Proverbs 13:10 New International Version

10 Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.

Proverbs 2 New International Version Moral Benefits of Wisdom 2 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— 3 indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. 7 He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, 8 for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. 9 Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path. 10 For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. 11 Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. 12 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, 13 who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways, 14 who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, 15 whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.

16 Wisdom will save you also from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words, 17 who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God.[a] 18 Surely her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead. 19 None who go to her return or attain the paths of life. 20 Thus you will walk in the ways of the good and keep to the paths of the righteous. 21 For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; 22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it.

To be anchored on this journey that is securing your relationship with God means;

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 New King James Version

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
