living with others
Living with others cannot be avoided and getting along with others is very vital to the kingdom of God. This is because we are here to please God not ourselves. Ahhh I have lived both lives , one of satisfying myself and the other of helping others and being friendly not to the extent of being used but the way our lord Jesus lived, but to be honest loving others is very expensive. Remember not to compromise at your expense to please others but do it at the expense of God because you won’t like the returns if you do it your way. I agree to cut off people who are a threat to your life but also there are those whom we cannot get along with but we can stay around because God promised that no weapon formed against us will prosper and even if he lets that hurt through he will use it for our advantage that grow our spirits.
We shall be mature children in the kingdom of God only, if we live like Jesus Christ. Loving people in the kingdom of God is something you cannot run away from because Jesus Christ never taught his disciples to pray beginning MY FATHER but OUR FATHER. We receive from God more when we love one another and take care of one another. Exodus 23:4&5.If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it. If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.
Associating with people will always open our lives to offense but we need to find A WAY of having communion with the HOLY SPIRIT so that he grows us to the extent that offense comes but you easily brush it off and find a way of even laughing with that person again. Look into the life of King David before he became king, AND Joseph before he became prime minister. One great preacher taught me about how we are hurt by people because of the level of love and respect we expect to receive from them. I don’t know how we can stop expecting from people, but as for me when you are nice to me my heart will be positioned in your nice wardrobe but I have been IN FELLOWSHIP with the HOLY SPIRIT to ask him to have peace with whatever action comes out of anyone.
Strife is a very dangerous habit that some of us think we cannot leave without. But I assure you that God dwells where people work towards loving one another even though it’s not easy. I will share some of the conflict resolutions in the bible. Let’s learn from Abraham and his nephew. Genesis 13:8, So Abram said to a lot,” let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herd’s men and mine, for we are close relatives. Is not the whole land before you? Let me company. if you go left, I will go right and if you go right, I will go left.
“Many of us feel guilty about loving people from afar but sometimes to save the little love left you need to part ways. Abraham goes further to show us that when God almighty came to him and told him how he was about to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, Abram interceded for the lot. So don’t keep strife in your life or space.
Living with others comes with choosing between loving people regardless or comparing yourself with others and then engaging in competition. This is very dangerous in the long run and some people fail to unlearn it. Who knows where these feelings came from because you can also live with someone who is better than you and you don’t even have the urge to compare yourself. 2corinthians 10:12, we don’t classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves, When they measure themselves and compare themselves, they are not wise.
