WORDS

Did you know that words are spiritual devices,

who believes that words are spiritual devices? When i was a child , i was told God has no flesh but he is in spirit form. Who sees words? But you can feel them after hearing them. words are weapons. They can make you or break you or make you. i grew up in a country where parents could shout insults just to alert you that what you were doing was inappropriate. As children, this invoked fear whenever they shouted and the insults brewed insecurities.

Proverbs 18:21
New International Version
21 The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Whatever words we speak or sow we reap. the Devil and God are both spirits. According to the words you speak, its the sides that holds what is declaired acts. speak bad ,the devil delivers, speak good and God delievers.

Lets see how words begun.

Genesis 1
New International Version
The Beginning
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. 12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

20 And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.” 23 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.

31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

We shall also understand that the centurion mastered that authority of words through his line of duty because these were spiritual devices at his exposal . He heard around about the man called Jesus and what he was doing. He analyzed the pattern in his actions and words, and saw they both had impact. He came up with the idea of asking him to speak in spirit with authority in a distance to impact someone in a different location like he used to speak in his line of duty due to the authority Jesus held in the spiritual ram. Jesus Christ knew how the spiritual ram worked because he operated in this ram and he was amazed how this man knew that just speaking a word in the spirit can make the devil in the spiritual ram let go in the spirit of what he was using to make his servant sick.

Matthew 8:5-10
New International Version
The Faith of the Centurion
5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”
7 Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”
8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.

Praying for our enemies. what do we use to pray besides actions, its words . There is a reason God asked us to pray for our enemies and not family members. The devil would love to see strife, anger, bitterness. But when we pray in words the devil is angry and amidst the bitterness, rage, holding grudges, he will release you little by little and then he will entually let go of your heart and you will feel free and you will look for rage, bitteness and you will feel those things no more. look through what you desire for your life and daily pray that for the people you dislike.God will chase the devil out of your life by this prayer only. This prayer offends the devil and he will flee.

Matthew 5:44-45
New International Version
44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Moreover, when we speak anytime, something is happening in the spiritual. Jesus wanted to teach his disciples this through an incident.

Mark 11:22-24
New International Version
22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[a] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Lets see how david used words to fight in the spiritual ram. This is was a battle between the devil and him. When the devil was whispering thoughts of fear or destruction, he fought back with the words he wrote in the book of psalms . just like God said in;

2 Corinthians 10:5-6
New International Version
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.

WORDS , words can break or mend anything. the bible says in the beginning God just spoke a word and the holy spirit put things into place. forexample , let there be light and all the words he spoke came into existence. we usually use our words with love or with hate regardless of whom we are speaking to. where do words come from? There is  ascripture that says what fills a man’s heart is what comes out of there mouths. thats what has  made me sink deeper into words. the position of your heart will either make people draw close to you or draw them away. lets embark of healing through our words. you can start by speaking from your head , this is for those who are not healed yet or are on the journey of healing. words of  a person who is not healed are most cases bitter, negative, full of resentment, always abusive, not kind among others. i will remind you of king David when he was facing his most trying times when his emotions were allover the place,he used his words to encourage himself in the lord. most cases when we are going through it, i remmember i used to insult everything and i thought whenever i fell short i had to let my mouth release an insult though it never made a difference but i felt the world deserved that insult for it being cruel. but David’s route encouraging his soul admist everything he didn’t understand was and is still the wise way forward. proverbs 18:21 says “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits . how have you been using your words?  Besides encouranging ourselves with words, reading or self proclaiming affirmations into our lives what about words from our mouths towards others? what do you say about others ? What is your heart position towards others? Do people intimidate you? Do you love people? why do you love that particular person? Have you forgiven that person? Do you have bias towards a particular kind of people? what inspires what you talk about people? These questions when you read and answer them , they will really help you know the kind of words you speak about other people. I remember those times when i really had nothing nice to say about most people and if anyone asked about them  i really couldn’t say anything because it would paint me into a jelous person and didn’t want search a picture. These days with the help of God the holyspirit am still learning to speak nice things about everyone, though in the beginning i first started with my head not from my heart because my emotions were allover the place . lets talk about lying either to yourself or others? This is listed in the proverbs among the things God hates. We all have different reasons why we lie. Why do you lie? Either to your self or others. For me i will be transparent and say i lie in most cases to protect me and others. protecting me was away of feeding my self self confidence sothat no one ever put me down and i also wasnt honest to tell people the truth because their facial expressions after you tell them the brutal truth in a confrontation always broke my heart, like why did you say that?
